Beetle
We use our smart phones for everything. Why not to help manage your crops? Beetle is an incredible smart phone application that allows you to diagnose leaf disease on your crops. Open the app, use the photo function inside the app to take a picture of any diseased leave in your crop. Beetle uses a sophisticated set of filtering functions and various analysis mechanisms to determine the disease that is present. Within a few seconds it returns a diagnosis to you allowing you to manage your crop effectively and efficiently.
Tomato TOSPO Project (genetic mapping)
seqID has partnered with an Indian R&D company, Tierra Seed Science to
develop and genetically map a line of tomatoes resistant to Groundnut
Bud Necrosis Virus (GBNV). This disease devastates tomato crops
throughout Southeast Asia and, to date, there is no commercial resistant
lines in existence.
